The quality of the singing varied from good to somewhat poor … The third and final work in the programme was Colin Brumby’s ‘Celebrations and Lamentations’ … It is impressive and effective and the choirs showed themselves at their excellent best.'

Festival Pub: Burleigh Bluff. Inaugural Intervarsity Choral Festival Public Lecture: Prof. Noel Nickson. Workshops: Dr Jim Crouchley and Dr Mainstone 'Acoustics – the physical aspects of music', Philip Bracanin “Aesthetics and composition”, Bruce Brazier 'Vocal techniques for choral productions'.
