Review: William Lovelock, “Varsity choirs enjoyable”, Courier-Mail, 27 May 1965, p.6. “Choirs from twelve Australian universities came together to give a concert which was thoroughly enjoyable and which reflected great credit on all concerned … [QUMS] achieved good ringing tone when needed with ample rhythmic vitality – though admittedly they had the advantage of greater numbers … [In the combined work,] Hugh Brandon … communicated his enthusiasm to his forces to a degree which produced some quite remarkable effects.”
