=== MUFS (Melbourne University Falsetto Singers) === A highly select group of manly (but not sexually discriminatory nor exclusionist) choristers which has appeared frequently in [:Revue:revue] items overflowing with tastefulness and oozing witty charm (the items, that is, not the MUFS themselves). The singers’ original lyrics generally make subtle socio-political comment upon current newsworthy events; several songs – the best known being “Azaria”, “Aerton Senna” and “You know, when you drive through Clifton Hill” – have gone iridium (one better than platinum) and found permanent homes in songbooks of dubious quality. Membership is by invitation only. Almost without exception, the rendering (no, not rendition) of any MUFS musical item concludes with the assembled choir being dragged forcibly off the stage.
