'''Review:''' John Stafford, “Festival’s Choral Crescendo”, ''Mercury'', 19 July 1999: 12. “It is great that university choirs have been able to come togther each year … Through their enthusiasm they may have had a tendency to sing too lustily at times on Saturday evening. This was evident in Chreubini’s Requiem Mass in C Minor … This work appeared to be particularly original, though a greater dynamic range in the singing could have given it more light and shade. Poulenc’s Gloria, where the choir was joined by soprano Joanna Cole was a most attractive piece and had an appropriately joyous performance.”

Festival billed as “50 IV” and including a display of memorabilia, the launch of a book by Peter Campbell, entitled ''"Laudate": The First 50 Years of the Australian Intervarsity Choral Festival Movement'', detailing the history of the movement, and a “Golden Girls (and Boys) Festival” for ex-IV choristers and other interested persons wishing to remember their years at IV. <<BR>><<BR>>
Several people served on the committe in its early stages, but could not continue until the festival itself: Rebecca French (Secretary), Stuart Watson (Fundraising/Sponsorship Officer) and Ellen Bennett (Transport & Billeting Officer).
